Tell us about one of your favorite farm projects
“Capturing the wild Alaska salmon harvest on a local family's boat in Sitka, Alaska, remains one of my favorite photo shoots. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Edgecumbe and the lush, mist-shrouded islands of Sitka Sound, the experience felt deeply personal and authentic. The multi-generational teamwork, raw grit, and shared experiens of a family living in perfect rhythm with the ocean. It was more than a commercial shoot for the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute; it was a powerful visual tribute to family legacy, hard work, and Sitka's timeless connection to the sea and wild Alaska seafood.“
Why do you work with farmers?
“For me, agricultural photography is about honoring the blue-collar spirit. There is an unmatched, raw honesty in a farmer’s weather-worn hands or the dirt on a worker's boots. Every wrinkle tells a story of long hours, unpredictable seasons, and a quiet, fierce dedication to feeding others. I find that the heartbeat of this work lies in multi-generational farms. It's an honor to document the families who keep the world well fed.”
