July 2025 Farm Marketing News
We hope you’re taking care of yourself out there amongst this record-breaking heat. While we can’t do anything about the weather (oh, that we could), we hope you’ll give yourself an AC break for a few minutes to learn about some ways your marketing platforms have improved. Square, Klaviyo, and Shopify have all released or updated some features that should make your customer experience and order fulfillment process a bit smoother, and hopefully that makes your day a little easier.
We’ve also included some resources addressing stress and mental health on the farm from SARE, and a webinar recording that offers some valuable insight on how to make your profit and loss statement work for you to drive profitability. We hope you’ll find them useful.

Farm Marketing Platform Updates
Square’s “Text Us” feature lets your customers message you right from your website.
With this new feature, customers can text you directly, opening up communication channels so you can seamlessly build relationships and drive sales. Messages are sent to your Square Messages inbox, and the customer receives an automated text follow up to their phone so they can continue the conversation there.
Klaviyo’s “next best product” recommendations have been improved.
Product analysis reports determine the next best product for profiles based on their last purchase. These now exclude any out of stock and unpublished products for a much improved user experience.
Shopify now allows you to print pick lists directly from the Orders page.
Print pick lists by product or order, via the newly updated free Shopify Order Printer app. Learn more about how to use this app from Shopify.
What We've Been Up To
We developed a series of Google ads and social media ads for Fischer Farms, an Indiana family farm. The campaigns aimed at increasing ecommerce sales of beef and pork via their GrazeCart website, targeting people across Indiana likely to purchase the farm’s products. Social ads reach thousands of Indiana residents, while Google ads reach people who are searching related phrases.
"Last week we had 37 new D2C customers and I feel it is from the ads and improved SEO/Google reach. I can only see things going UP with the metrics you shared below and what we will be doing with Meta and Google! I really have tried to employ what I am learning, so thank you."
— Heather Tallman, Fischer Farms Marketing Director

Teambuilding with The League of Kitchens
Our team had the joy of participating in a Nepali cooking class led by Rachana from The League of Kitchens. We learned how to prepare Rayo Ko Saag (stir-fried mustard greens), Rahar Dal (split yellow peas), and Basmati Bhuja (rice). Rachana also shared tips passed down to her by her mother, and taught our team about the warmth and ingredients of Nepali cuisine.
