E-commerce, Marketing Strategy, Advertising

Long before I came along, my relatives owned grocery stores and restaurants, with my great grandma always whipping something up to keep all of her 18 children fed. Growing up, my family owned and worked for food businesses, but it was my own health complications at a young age that really piqued my curiosity to know what was in my food, where it was coming from, and how it was being grown. I started developing recipes at a young age, worked at local restaurants and farmers markets throughout high school, and even attended a culinary and pastry arts program.

Before college I spent some time volunteering at a local farm in Hawaii and doing humanitarian aid work in Greece among communities that faced extreme food insecurities. I went on to study Anthropology where I concentrated my research in Sustainable Food Systems and Sustainable Development. I had the privilege of studying in Thailand where I lived all over the country learning from rural small-scale farmers and fisheries. After college I worked for a local B-corporation focused on sustainably grown, ethically traded craft coffee. When I left the Midwest for better weather in California, I started working for a small regenerative organic farm and community center where I helped manage our farm stand and eventually found myself running our CSA Program and Ecommerce sales.

I love applying this passion for local food to help producers leverage ecommerce and marketing to scale their businesses. I’m so excited to continue doing that alongside the amazing team at Grapevine! Outside of work you can find me tending to my garden, developing recipes, hiking with my husband, camping, swimming in the ocean, practicing yoga, trying out the latest local restaurants and cafes, or reading a good book.
